Jake Hall, the former model, fashion designer, and star of The Only Way Is Essex, died on May 7, 2026, after a tragic accident at a rented villa in Santa Margarita, Majorca. He was 35 years old.
Spanish authorities responded to a call at around 7:30 am local time and found Hall unresponsive and lying in a pool of blood. Investigators believe he rammed into a glass door, causing severe head injuries. Witnesses told police that Hall had been out partying all night and continued the gathering at the rental property, where he appeared to become agitated, possibly from alcohol consumption.
Four men and two women were staying at the villa at the time. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Hall rose to prominence as a cast member on the ITV reality series The Only Way Is Essex and later built a career in fashion. He is survived by his daughter River, born in November 2017, whom he shared with his partner Misse Begiri. The two had been together since 2016.
Just hours before his death, Hall posted on Instagram. "Life is bollocks sometimes but I'm gonna try remember the good things. Looking through things, I'm just making art, in many forms," he wrote, alongside a video showing him painting and enjoying the Spanish landscape.
The news reverberated across the British reality television community and among fans who had followed Hall's journey from reality TV personality to entrepreneur. Tributes began appearing online within hours of the first reports, with former castmates and friends remembering his creativity and energy.
The circumstances of Hall's death recall other freak accidents that have claimed the lives of young public figures on holiday, underscoring the thin line between celebration and tragedy.
