Spider-Man: Brand New Day has crossed $2.2 billion worldwide, becoming the franchise's highest-grossing film and the second-fastest to reach $2 billion after Avengers: Endgame. The Tom Holland-starrer is on track to become the 6th highest-grossing film of all time. In India, the film has collected Rs 518.50 crore and is targeting the Rs 600 crore gross club.

Record-Breaking Numbers

The film smashed over 118.7millioninitsthirdweekendoverseas,registeringa49percentdropfromthepreviousweekend—abetterholdthanNoWayHome.Theinternationalcumestandsat118.7 million in its third weekend overseas, registering a 49 per cent drop from the previous weekend — a better hold than No Way Home. The international cume stands at 1.24 billion. Allied to its domestic cume of 785.8million,theworldwidegrosscollectionhasreached785.8 million, the worldwide gross collection has reached 2.2 billion.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has emerged as the second-fastest entrant into the 2billionclub,behindonlyAvengers:Endgame.OnTuesday,themovieisexpectedtosurpassAvengers:InfinityWar′slifetimecumeof2 billion club, behind only Avengers: Endgame. On Tuesday, the movie is expected to surpass Avengers: Infinity War's lifetime cume of 2.05 billion, and by Wednesday, it will beat The Force Awakens' $2.07 billion run to become the 6th highest-grossing film of all time.

India Box Office Performance

In India, the film has collected Rs 518.50 crore gross (Rs 428 crore nett) in its two-week theatrical run. Including 3D collections, the real gross has reached Rs 569.50 crore. Based on current trends, the film is looking to close its entire run by entering the Rs 600 crore gross club and Rs 500 crore nett club at the Indian box office.

The film is on track to close its worldwide run around the $2.5 to 2.7 billion mark. It could also go on to hit 2 crore footfalls in India, a feat only two films have managed: Titanic and Avengers: Endgame.

All-Time Blockbuster Status

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is an ALL-TIME BLOCKBUSTER. It joins a select group of seven other films since Jurassic Park in 1994 that can be classified as ATBBs, including Titanic, Avatar, The Jungle Book, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Avatar: The Way of Water.

Mounted on a budget of $225 million, the film's phenomenal run underscores the enduring power of the Spider-Man franchise and Tom Holland's appeal as the web-slinger.
